......Respondents Mr. A. B. Tajane, advocate for the petitioner. Mrs. R. M. Shinde, AGP for the State.
CORAM : RANJIT MORE & SMT.ANUJA PRABHUDESSAI, JJ.
DATE : 31st JULY, 2018.
P. C. :
The petitioner's claim that she belonged to Koli Caste (Special Backward Caste) is rejected by respondent No.4 - Caste Scrutiny Committee on the ground that the petitioner is migrant from Karnataka and, therefore, not entitled to the benefits as available to the person born in the State of Maharashtra. Mr. Tajane, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there was no proper enquiry by the vigilance committee. He also stated that the committee has not considered all the documents. The petitioner, however, does not dispute that she is originally from Indi-Karnataka and migrated to Maharashtra. In the light of the above, we do not find any error in the impugned order. The petition is devoid of any merit and is, accordingly, dismissed. [SMT.ANUJA PRABHUDESSAI, J.] [RANJIT MORE, J.] Digitally signed by Shubhada Shankar Kadam Date:
