The order impugned in the writ petition arises out of the election petition under the provisions of the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961. The results of the elections was declared on 21 February 2017. The term of the elected member is for five years, hence, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition. The writ petition is disposed of as infructuous. No costs.
