The Appellant has filed the appeal under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicle Act, challenging the Award passed by the learned Member, M.A.C.T., Sangli granting compensation of Rs.2,84,744/- inclusive of no fault liability of Rs.50,000/- in a death case arising out of motor vehicular accident.

The application for condonation of delay is pending since 2007. No steps have been taken to serve Respondent Nos.6 and 7 despite sufficient opportunities given.

The appeal is filed along with an application for condonation of delay. The application does not mention number of days of delay. It does not mention when the certified copy was applied for and when it was received. The only reason stated in paragraph 2 of the application is that after the decision, papers were sent to the regional office at Pune and that the Pune office has sent the papers to Mumbai regional office. No further details are given. The application is filed in the most casual manner. The explanation given in paragraph 2 of the application does not constitute sufficient grounds. 4.
Considering the above facts, the application is dismissed. Registration of the appeal is rejected.
