The present application seeks quashing of FIR bearing C.R. No. 429 of 2024 registered with Faujdar Chawadi Police Station, Solapur, Dist. Solapur for offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506 r/w section 34 of the Indian Penal Code and consequential proceeding bearing RCC No.1268 of 2024 pending before the JMFC, Solapur City against the applicants.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.2 tenders consent Uday S. Jagtap 1 of

93-1009-2024-APL=.doc affidavit of respondent no.2 - original complainant recording no objection for quashing of the FIR being C.R. No. 429 of 2024. Respondent no.2 is present in Court. We have interacted with the respondent no.2 and she has reiterated the averments made in the consent terms and states that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties, as she has joined the matrimonial home on 8th May 2025. Her identity is verified by her counsel. 3.

As the parties have amicably settled their dispute and have started residing together, we see no reason in continuing the criminal prosecution. Considering the law laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Gian Singh V. State of Punjab (2012) 10 SCC 303 and Narinder Singh V. State of Punjab (2014) 6 SCC 466, no fruitful purpose will be served by continuing with the criminal prosecution. 4.

In light of the above, application is allowed. FIR being C.R. No. 429 of 2024 and all incidental/ancillary proceeding being R.C.C. No. 1268 of 2024 pending on the file of JMFC, Solapur City are hereby quashed and set aside.
