The Applicant was accused before the Additional Sessions Judge, Sangli in Special Case No.94 of 2022. Vide the judgment and order dated 3 August 2023 the Applicant was convicted under Section 8 and 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act 2012. The major sentence imposed was rigorous imprisonment for 3 years, besides directions to pay fine of Rs.15,000/-. After his conviction, Sharada

18-IA-3180-2023.odt the Applicant was granted bail under Section 389 of Cr.P.C, on 3rd August 2023. That order was in effect till 4th September 2023. However, till today the Applicant has not surrendered. The period for temporary bail is over. Therefore, I am not inclined to entertain this Application for bail pending Appeal.

Hence the Interim Application is rejected.

The Investigation Agency shall take steps, in accordance with law, to arrest the Applicant. (SARANG V. KOTWAL, J.)
