This PIL Petition prays for the following substantive relief "(a) That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to give appropriate directions to the Respondents to take adequate steps proportionate inancial Sindhudurg District for completing including the long pending irrigation projects and make them operational.

(b) That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to direct the State Government to ix time frame for completion of all the irrigation projects in Sindhudurg District which have been left incomplete for absolutely petty reasons; (c) That this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to direct State Government to make Audit of each and every project regarding its viability and estimate of further expenditure." The reliefs prayed for are essentially in the realm of policy decisions of the State Government and have inancial implications, which the concerned departments are best suited to address. 3.

At the time of iling this petition, the Petitioner was a sitting Member of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Maharashtra. The grievance raised in this petition can be more appropriately pursued with the State Government or the concerned department of the State Government.

It is open to the Petitioner to approach the State Government or the concerned department with the grievance raised in the present PIL. If such a representation is made, it is always open for the State Government, to take an appropriate decision regarding inancial assistance to Sindhudurg District. It is alleged that the irrigation projects are progressing at a slow pace. The State Government to look into the matter and address the concerns.
