The petitioner had applied for the post of Fireman in the Solapur Municipal Corporation, pursuant to the advertisement which was issued in the year 2014. The petitioner was not found fulfilling the criteria in so far as the height is concerned. The requirement was that the applicant is to have minimum height of 165 cm. and from the communication to the petitioner it is revealed that the petitioner's height was found to be 164 cm. and therefore, by Iresh Siddharam Mashal Date: 2018.10.08 18:01:31 +0530 Iresh Siddharam Mashal

Petitioner seeks to rely upon the certificate dated 08/09/2016, issued by the Medical Officer, District Hospital, Satara. What was the occasion for the Medical Officer to issue such certificate. The said certificate also makes an interesting reading, it has been issued on a proforma meant for patients. Be that as it may, since the Authority concerned has found the petitioner to be less than the required height and since the advertisement was issued long back in 2014, we do not deem this a fit case to exercise our writ jurisdiction.

The Writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
