The petitioner requested for his transfer from Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, Kolhapur to Jail at Azamgarh. 2.

The relief ought to sought before the appropriate authority having jurisdiction to transfer the petitioner from Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, Kolhapur Jail to the Jail at Azamgarh. That apart if the offence is registered against the petitioner in the State of Maharashtra, then transfer of the petitioner to another state could hamper the trial. For the aforesaid reasons, writ petition stands disposed of.
