The Fire Arms Licence of petitioner has been cancelled by the District Magistrate, Sangli vide order dated 03/06/2013 on the ground that he had threatened someone at the point of revolver. 3.

Admittedly, the petitioner has been acquitted of the said crime, on the basis of which the Fire Arms Licence of petitioner has been cancelled.

The petitioner preferred an appeal against the order cancelling his Fire Arms Licence, before the Divisional Commissioner, Pune. His appeal came to be dismissed vide order dated 03/12/2013 for want of prosecution.

Since the reason, on account of which the Fire Arms Licence of petitioner was cancelled, no longer subsists, the District Magistrate, Sangli may consider to review his order dated 03/06/2013 on its own merits.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 4000/2018 stands disposed of accordingly.
