None appears for the Petitioner. In this Public Interest Litigation, grievance of the Petitioner is that the scheme floated by the Central Government under which the families living below poverty line get certain benefits are being misused. According to the Petitioner, the proper surveys are not being conducted and the families which may be at one point of time belonging to the below poverty line continue to be identified as one though their economic status has been improved.

A Bench of this Court by an interim order dated 13 October 2010 had directed the State to conduct pilot survey in village k Page No.

k 2/2 215 pil 47.09 db as.doc Nandruk, District Sindhudurg, as per the fresh guidelines issued by the Central Government and submit a report to this Court. 3.

In compliance of the aforesaid directions, a survey has been conducted and the report has been filed, which indicates that action has been taken to prepare the list of families which are below poverty line in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Central Government.

For the aforementioned reasons, no further orders are required to be passed in this Public Interest Litigation, the same is accordingly disposed of.
