The petitioner was elected as a Member of Grampanchayat during general elections held in the year 2015. The disqualification order was passed against him under Section 14(1)(j-3) of Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, which was assailed by him by filing a dispute. The term of petitioner's election is expired in the year 2020. As such, writ petition is rendered academic. Hence, writ petition stands disposed of.
