By this Writ Petition, Petitioner is seeking direction against the Respondent to drop the land acquisition proceeding and return the land to the Petitioner bearing Gat No.147/2/B Area admeasuring 15 Hector situated at Village Yenki Taluka Mohol District Solapur. It is to be noted that in the present proceedings, Respondent Mohite 1/2

7 wp11277-15.doc State acquired the land and passed award dated 15.04.1976. The present Writ Petition is filed by the Petitioner in 2015. Considering the laches on the part of the Petitioner to challenge the action taken by Respondent, we do not find any reason to entertain the present Writ Petition though the Petitioner raised several grounds in the Writ Petition.

Hence, Writ Petition stands dismissed with cost of Rs.25,000/­. Cost to be deposited in the Registry within 8 weeks from today. If cost is deposited within stipulated time as stated hereinabove, Registry is directed to transfer the said cost to the Kirtikar Law Library, High Court, Bombay.

If cost is not deposited, Registry is directed to inform the Collector to recover the same as per arrears of land revenue under Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966.
