We have heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner and learned AGP for the Respondent-State.

The Petitioner prays for following reliefs:- "A. That this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the respondents to grant land admeasuring 0.80 Ares bearing Gat No.261 A in village Kakhe, Tal. Pending the hearing and inal disposal of this Writ Petition, this Hon'ble Court be pleased to restrain the respondents from granting the land admeasuring 0.80 Ares bearing Gat No.261 A in village Kakhe, Tal. Panhala, District Kolhapur to any other person and/or putting the said land for use for any other purpose."

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner points out that the Tahsildar, Panhala, District Kolhapur, by communication dated 29th March 2023 (page 35) addressed to the Sub-Divisional Oicer, Panhala, as well as the Sub-Divisional Oicer, Panhala, by communication dated 11th April 2023 (page 37), have forwarded their respective communications to the Collector, Kolhapur, positively recommending the case of the Petitioner. The proposal is thus pending for consideration before the Collector.

The Respondent No. 2 - Collector, Kolhapur, is requested to look into the reports submitted by the Tahsildar and the Sub-Divisional Oicer and to take an appropriate decision on the relief sought by the Petitioner in terms of prayer clause (a), in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of twelve weeks from 24th December 2025.
