The learned APP, Dr. Takalkar inform that, in compliance of the directions given by this Court on 15.04.2024, the petitioner is categorized in category 2(c) of 15.03.2010 guidelines, which is equivalent to his categorization in 2(c) of the guidelines of 13.06.2008, which make it imperative for him to undergo imprisonment for 26 years.

The Section Offcer of the Home Department has passed an order on 19.04.2024 and the said order is forwarded to the Superintendent, Kolhapur Open Prison, Kolhapur, to be communicated to the petitioner.

In the wake of the above, since the categorization of the petitioner is now done, nothing survives in the Petition and the R.V.Patil

This Court would like to record the appreciation of Ms Gunjan Mangla, for her valuable assistance rendered and the Legal Services Authority is directed to make payment of the legal remuneration due and payable to her, within a period of six weeks from today.
