Present appeal filed under Section 378 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 impugned the Judgment and Order dated 26th June, 2023, in Special Case No.3 of 2009, passed by the learned Special Judge, Pandharpur, District- Solapur thereby, the Respondent was acquitted of the charge of the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Respondent died on 17/04/2025 during pendency of the Appeal, vide Death Certificate Exhibit "X", taken on record on 8th May, 2025. As provided in Section 394 (1), every Appeal under Section 377 or Section 378 shall finally abate on the death of the Accused. 2) In view thereof, the present Appeal is disposed of as abated.
