In view of the 'Not Before' Order passed by the coordinate bench, the aforesaid petition has been placed before this Court. 2.

Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent no.3-Collector, Kolhapur, to pass an order on the application dated 9th December, 2021, submitted by the petitioner, for renewal of his arms license, pursuant to the hearing held on

16th September, 2022.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's application seeking renewal of arms license was heard by the respondent no.3-Collector, Kolhapur on 16th September, 2022 and that on the same day, the matter was closed for orders. He submits that despite the mandate of the Arms Act, till date, the respondent no.3-Collector, Kolhapur, has not passed an order on the petitioner's application.

Considering the aforesaid i.e. the application was heard on 16th September, 2022 and was reserved for orders, without going into the merits of the petition, we deem it appropriate to direct the respondent no.3-Collector, Kolhapur to pass an order on the application filed by the petitioner seeking renewal of his arms license, on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within two weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

Learned APP to communicate the said order to the respondent no.3-Collector, Kolhapur, forthwith. 7.

The petition is disposed of in aforesaid terms. 8.

We make it clear that we have not gone into the merits of the petition.
