Ms. Komal Gaikwad i/b R. K. Mendadkar for the Petitioner. Smt. Rupali Shinde, AGP for the Respondent-State. Coram : Ranjit More & Smt. S. S. Jadhav, JJ.

P. C. :

1.

Heard. The short grievance raised in this petition is that Respondent-caste scrutiny committee has not decided the caste claim of the Petitioner since September 2015. The directions are sought to Respondent No.2 to dispose of the same expeditiously. 2.

On behalf of Respondent No.2, one Chandrakant Pawar has filed an affidavit dated 18th December 2017. In paragraph 6, the commitment is made that the Petitioner's caste claim would be decided within the period of 3 months after hearing him. 3.

In the light of above, we deem it convenient to dispose of this writ petition by directing Respondent No.2 to decide the Petitioner's caste claim as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within the period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Ordered accordingly.

4.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
