The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction in the matter of complying with the order dated 31/12/2015 passed by the District Superintendent of Land Records, Satara. By that order, while allowing the petitioner's appeal partly, it was directed that the Deputy Superintendent of Land Records, Khandala should visit and inspect Survey No.227 as well as the disputed land and then have the same measured to facilitate a fresh enquiry. Pursuant to the aforesaid order, the District Superintendent of Land Records has issued a communication dated 26/11/2018 to the Deputy Superintendent of Land Records, Khandala to take steps accordingly and required the petitioner to pay the measurement fees. Though time was granted to the learned Additional Government Pleader on 09/01/2025 and 03/02/2025 to obtain necessary instructions, it is submitted that the said instructions are yet to be received.

Considering the fact that the petitioner's appeal came to be partly allowed on 31/12/2015, it would be necessary for the concerned revenue authority to implement the said order. Accordingly, it is directed that within a period of eight weeks of receiving copy of this order, the respondent no.2 shall take necessary steps in accordance with the communication dated 26/11/2018 issued by the Deputy Superintendent of Land Records, Satara. The action taken shall be communicated to the petitioner. With aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
