The Prisoner in Sindhudurga District Prison complains that the furlough applied for by him by application dated 6/6/2019 has not been decided till date. He has therefore, a sent letter dated 25/10/2019 to this court.

Learned APP is seeking time to obtain instructions. 3.

We find that interest of the justice can be met with by directing the competent authority to take suitable decision on the furlough application if it is not already decided, within six weeks of communication of this order to it.

If the decision is already taken, it shall be served again on the petitioner within six weeks.

With a liberty to the petitioner to approach again if his grievance subsists even thereafter, we dispose of the writ petition.
