By this petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to take appropriate steps in C.R. No. 37/2021 registered with the Miraj Rural Police Station, Miraj. Direction is also sought to initiate inquiry against the concerned police officers working in respondent No.1-police station for stalling the progress of the aforesaid C.R.

Learned A.P.P, on instructions, states that the police, after investigation in the aforesaid C.R, have filed charge-sheet in the said case on 13th August 2024 before the appropriate Court at Miraj. He further submits that Shri Sandip Ghuge, Superintendent of Police of Sangli District, has issued show-cause notice to Shri Magdum, who was attached to Miraj Rural Police Station as to why action should not be taken against him and that as soon as reply is received, appropriate steps will be taken. Learned A.P.P further submits that as far as Shri S. S. Chavan is concerned, since he is transferred to some other district, the concerned Superintendent of Police of that district will take appropriate steps/action against Shri S. S. Chavan. Learned A.P.P has tendered the letter sent by the Superintendent of Police, Sangli dated 18th August 2018. The same is taken on record.

Learned A.P.P further submits that show-cause notice has also been issued to PSI Jathar and as soon as reply is received, appropriate steps will be taken against him.
In view of the aforesaid, nothing survives for further consideration in the petition. Petition is disposed of accordingly. PRITHVIRAJ K. CHAVAN, J.
