1) By the present Petition received through jail, the Petitioner has prayed for termination of his conviction/sentence on the ground that he has completed 22 years and 5 months of actual imprisonment. Therefore, under the Rules of Remission, the Petitioner has requested JYOTI RAJESH MANE that, he may be released from jail.

2) Smt. Swati Sathe, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, by JYOTI RAJESH MANE Date: 2024.02.05 14:47:56 +0530 Western Zone, Pune, has filed an affidavit dated 26th October 2023 stating that the Petitioner has been categorized by the State Government as per the Guidelines dated 15th March 2010 and has been placed under the category of 4(e) thereof. Petitioner has to undergo 26 years of imprisonment including remissions. Today the learned APP has produced 1/2

In para No.16(10) thereon it is stated that, as of today the Petitioner has undergone 25 years, 5 months and 17 days of sentence, including remissions. 3) In view of the above, the prayer of the Petitioner as of today does not survive.

4) Petition is accordingly disposed off.
