The petitioner applied for furlough. The prayer of the petitioner was rejected by the order dated 8th March 2018. The petitioner has not preferred an appeal against the said order which is maintainable before the State Government.

We, therefore, direct the Jail Superintendent, Kolhapur Central Prison to inform the petitioner to prefer an appeal before the State Government.

We find that the petitioner has sent this petition dated 22nd November 2018 by post. Therefore, if the petitioner prefers an appeal within a reasonable time, the State Government shall consider the same in accordance with law. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of. (SANDEEP K.
