P.C.:- By the present Petition, the Petitioner has prayed for quashing of CR No.0716 of 2016 lodged with Mohol Police Station, District Solapur under Section 224 of the Indian penal Code (for short, "IPC"). 2) Perusal of record indicates that, the Petitioner was released on parole leave on 3rd September, 2016 and was supposed to surrender to the Jail Authority on 2nd October, 2016. Despite granting extension in parole leave, he did not surrender to Jail Authority and therefore, the said crime No.0716 of 2016 under Section 224 of IPC has been registered against him. 1/2

ssm 2 23-ia12.19.doc 3) That, Petitioner subsequently surrendered to Jail Authority 41 days late. As the Petitioner did not report the Jail Authority within stipulated period, by following necessary procedure established under the law, the concerned Authority has lodged the said crime No.0716 of 2016. We see no reason to quash the said crime.

4) According to us, Petition being dehors of any merits, is accordingly dismissed.
