The petitioner no.1 has completed his MDS course while the petitioner no.2 has completed his BDS course. Both the petitioners pursued the aforesaid course at "Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad" which was "deemed to be University."

Pursuant to the notification dated 21st November 2022 issued by the 1st respondent and upon recommendations from the

ppn 2 46-WP.15706.23.doc University-Grant-Commission (UGC), the Central Government approved the change of the name from "Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad" to "Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth," Karad. Since the petitioners are not being enrolled with the 3rd and 4th respondents, consequent upon the change of the name of Institute, they have filed this writ petition. 3.

On hearing the learned counsel for the parties, we find that the notification dated 21st November 2022 has been issued by the 1st respondent-Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, Government of India. Copy of this notification has been forwarded to the Under Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on behalf of the 2nd respondent. It would, therefore, be necessary for the 2nd respondent to issue appropriate notification on the lines of the notification issued by the 1st respondent on 21st November 2022.

Learned counsel appearing for the 3rd and 4th respondents, on instructions, submits that provisional registration shall be provided to all BDS students.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent-Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to take necessary steps to issue notification on the lines of that

ppn 3 46-WP.15706.23.doc issued by the 1st respondent approving the change of the name of the 5th respondent. Steps in that regard be taken within a period of six weeks of receiving copy of the order. On such notification being issued, the 3rd and 4th respondents to take further consequential steps.
