The petitioner is challenging order passed by the Commissioner in exercise of power under section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966. The petitioner has alternative statutory remedy by way of second revision before the State Government.

Keeping all questions raised in the writ petition open to be agitated before the State Government, the writ petition is dismissed on the ground of availability of alternative efficacious statutory remedy.

In case the petitioner files revision within two weeks from today, the Minister shall decide the revision within six weeks thereafter.
