ORDER
By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/4
2. Ms.P. Vijaya Devi, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondent.
3. The petitioner seeks for implementation of G.O. No.162, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 13.04.1998. The grievance of the petitioner is that as per the said G.O., he is entitled for Special Grade promotion and increment. The petitioner has given a representation on 28.07.2021 to the respondent seeking for implementation of the aforementioned G.O. Since his representation has not been considered, till date, he has filed this writ petition.
4. Heard Mr.K.V.Ananthakrushnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Vijaya Devi, learned Government Advocate for the respondent.
5. The petitioner has filed documents / orders along with this writ petition in support of his contention that he is entitled for implementation of G.O. No.162, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 13.04.1998 in his favour under which he claims that he is entitled for Special Grade promotion and increment.
6. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in 2/4
accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2021 seeking for implementation of G.O. No.162, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 13.04.1998, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
8. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
