ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to withdraw the Crime No.2560/11 pending on the file of the 1st respondent namely Inspector of Police, Udumalpet Police Station and transfer the investigation to the 2nd respondent Inspector of Police, CBCID, Tiruppur.

2.The petitioner seeks direction of this Court to withdraw the Crime No.2560/11 pending on the file of the 1st respondent namely Inspector of Police, Udumalpet https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Police Station and transfer the investigation to the 2nd respondent Inspector of Police, CBCID, Tiruppur. The crime is of the year 2011, now, almost seven years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be considered now.

3.Considering the long pendency of the case, the 1st respondent is hereby directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.2560 of 2011 and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this Order, before the jurisdictional Magistrate, if not already filed.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
