Prayer:- Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, praying to direct the learned Principal Sessions Judge,Tiruvannamalai District, to accept the surrender of the petitioner by considering the bail application filed by the petitioner on the same day in respect of Crime No.850 of 2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Arni Taluk Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this petition is for a direction, to direct the learned Principal Sessions Judge,Tiruvannamalai District, to accept the surrender of the petitioner by considering the bail application filed by the petitioner on the same day in respect of Crime No.850 of 2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Arni Taluk Police Station, Tiruvannamalai District.

2. I have heard Mr.G.Paranthaman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police. With the consent of both sides, this criminal original petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner has moved this petition only to seek for limited indulgence from this Court that on his surrender before the Court below i.e, the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Tiruvannamalai and if he files any petition to enlarge https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

him on bail, the same shall be considered and decided on the date of filing and surrendering itself.

4. I have heard, Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, in this regard.

5. Since the relief sought for herein is innocuous in nature, I am inclined to pass the following order: (i) The petitioner is permitted to surrender before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Tiruvannamalai within a period of one week from the date of the receipt of a copy of this Order. (ii) on such surrender, if the petitioner files any petition to enlarge him on bail, the learned Judge shall consider the same on its own merits, on the same day itself.

6. With these directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
