..Respondent(s) Prayer : This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directing the 4th Respondent to disburse the balance amount of Rs.18,31,664/- (Rupees Eighteen Lakhs Thirty One Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty Four only) due to the petitioner, together with interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the date of completion of work till the date of actual payment in terms of the Memorandum issued by the 2nd Respondent in Na.Ka.No.3742/2022/A5 dated 15.11.2025.

I heard Mr.N.Palanikumar for the petitioner, Mr.M.Murali for the fourth respondent and Ms.C.Meera Arumugham for Mr.M.Shajahan for the first to third respondents.

2. The following instructions have been given to Mr.M.Murali by the Block Development Officer, Kodumudi Block:-

3. After the orders were passed by this Court recording the serious steps, that the Collector said would be undertaken, a further sum of Rs.86,500/- has been paid.

4. Since the report admits that the balance amount of Rs.16,63,964/- is admittedly due, as stated by the District Collector, Erode District, serious steps would be taken to recover the aforesaid balance amount and the payments would be made to the writ petitioner, within a period of four months from today(23.02.2026).
