Respondents [Respondent No.9 impleaded as per order in WMP.No.333 of 2020 dated 8.1.2020] [Respondent No.10 suo motu impleaded as per the order dated 9.3.2020] Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to fill up the vacancies in the posts Principal and other teaching faculties as well as

other academic infrastructure facilities in the 6th respondent college, in compliance with the Bar Council of India Rules, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2019. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed to seek a direction on the respondents to fill up the vacancies in the posts of Principal and other teaching faculties and, at the same time, to provide other academic infrastructure facilities in Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College, Kalapet, Pondicherry.

2. This Court issued directions from time to time to fill up the vacancies.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader (Puducherry) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 informed about the appointment on the post of Principal in the 6th respondent Law College and submitted that for the remaining posts, an advertisement has been issued and the posts would be filled within a period of six months.

4. In view of the statement aforesaid, we find that the grievance of the petitioner is going to be redressed within a short period of time, as the Principal has already been appointed and for the remaining posts, an advertisement has been issued.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to complete the process and fill up all the posts so advertised at the earliest, not later than six months from today. Further, the process to fill up the faculties for non-law subjects

should also be taken at the earliest. There will be no order as to costs.
