O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the accused to quash the proceedings against him in C.C.No.4582 of 2006 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate (Fast Track Court), Saidapet, Chennai.

2. The respondent herein has filed a private complaint against the petitioner herein stating that he has committed an offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Based on the said complaint, the Metropolitan Magistrate (Fast Track Court), Saidapet, has taken the case on file in C.C.No.4582 of 2006 and issued summons to the petitioner herein. On receipt of summons, the accused has filed the present petition to quash the proceedings against him in the above case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that during pendency of this petition, as per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the Complaint in C.C.No.4582 of 2006 has been transferred to the Court of Judicial Magistrate at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Maharashtra State and hence, this petition has become infructuous.

4. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
