(The case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the criminal proceedings in C.C.No.27 of 2012, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Coimbatore.

2. Today, when this matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submitted that during the pendency of this criminal original petition, the petitioner has died. The said statement made by the learned counsels is recorded.

3. In view of the fact that the petitioner has died, the case against him stands abated. Now, nothing remains for adjudication and hence this criminal original petition is dismissed.
