O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A) of TNP Act in Crime No.85 of 2025 on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was involved in illegal possession of 14 brandy bottles each containing 180 ml. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that apart from this case, petitioner has four previous cases. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of allegation and the bad antecedents of the petitioner and if the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail, there is a likelihood that he would involve in similar offence, hence this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
