O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioners. 2.The grievance of the petitioners is that on the guise of enquiry on the complaint given by one Maragatham, the estranged daughter-in-law of the petitioners. The marriage between the petitioners' son K.Varadarajan and the said Maragatham was taken place on 14.06.2019 and out of their wedlock a girl baby was born. The petitioners son Varadarajan was employed in Lakshmi Mill, Coimbatore. Due to the COVID pandemic situation, he had lost his job. Now he is working as priest and making his earning and sustaining himself. The said Maragatham had left the matrimonial home on her own. But she made an allegation that she had been chased away from the matrimonial home and she had sent representations to the various authorities and a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

matrimonial dispute have been given a criminal colour. The petitioners had appeared before the respondent police and gave their explanations. Thereafter too the respondent police continuously calling the petitioners at odd time and causing harassment. Hence, they filed the present petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the said Maragatham had sent several representations to various authorities. For the purpose of enquiry, the respondent police continuously called the petitioners. On enquiry, it appears that it is a matrimonial dispute between the said Maragatham and her husband Varadarajan and the petitioners are in-laws of the said Maragatham, as of now, the petitioners were not needed for enquiry.
