PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records of the detention made in No.646/BCDFGISSSV/2023 dated 06.12.2023, passed by the Commissioner of Police, greater Chennai, the 2nd respondent herein and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Hon'ble Court and set the detenu Thiru.Moorthy son of Nagappan, aged about 50 years at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.292, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 18.01.2024, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
