The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct to change investigation to some other investigation agency in connection with Crime No.117 of 2016 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor fairly submitted that a direction may be given to the respondent police for speedy disposal of the case.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.117 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
