ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the following relief: "To issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus, calling for the records in IOC/TNSO/OPS/CBE/P.Sundararajan dated 15.12.2025 and quash the same and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to release the vehicles bearing registration Numbers TN-28-BB-5952 and TN-28-BB-5961. "
2. Heard the learned counsels on both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3. It is seen that investigation with reference to the vehicles bearing registration Numbers TN-28-BB-5952 and TN-28-BB-5961 has been completed and charge sheets have been filed.
4. Therefore, without going into the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the following directions: (i) The petitioner is directed to give an undertaking before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Coimbatore that as and when required, the vehicles will be produced before the Court. Upon such undertaking being given, the learned
Judge shall release the vehicles bearing registration Numbers TN-28-BB-5952 and TN-28-BB-5961 to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of the said undertaking.
(ii) With reference to the recovery of compensation, it is open to the petitioner to institute the arbitration proceedings as envisaged under the Metrology Department. No costs.
