ORDER

Based on the protest petition filed by the second respondent, the first respondent is alleged to have refused the registration of certain settlement deed Vide the impugned check slip dated 07.12.2020.

2. Heard Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent. He submitted that the first respondent would hold a preliminary enquiry within the meaning of Section 34 of the Registration Act.

3. The first respondent is now directed to hold an enquiry for the limited purpose under Section 34 of the Registration Act, and strictly in accordance with the letter and spirit of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

dictum laid by the Division Bench of this Court in N.Ramayee Vs. Sub Registrar [(2020) 8 MLJ 305].
