O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the entire records concerning C.C. No. 334 of 2014, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Chengalpet and quash the same.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that, the petitioners are A1 and A2. The petitioners have filed this petition seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C. No. 334 of 2014, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No. II, Chengalpet. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the charge sheet has already been laid and trial is commenced. The petitioners pray that they shall be permitted to face the trial and their appearance shall be dispensed with. 3.

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the appearance of the petitioners is necessary for proceeding with the trial and without appearance of the accused the trial will not be completed. 4.

This Court is dispensing with the appearance of the accused on all hearings. However, the petitioners shall appear before the trial Court for receiving copies and other documents supplied by the Court under Section 207 of Criminal Procedure Code, on the day when charges are framed, for questioning under Section 313 of Criminal Procedure Code and on the day of judgment. The petitioners shall also appear before the trial Court as and when the Court directs.

Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
