Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased To permit the petitioner to enhance the claim amount from Rs.7,00,000/- to Rs.13,00,000/- in MCOP No.1621/2013 on the file of the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal/In the I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Cuddalore (in CMP.No.69 of 2022).

Order : This petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.RAMYA V.RAO, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.M.KRISHNAMOORTHY, Advocate for the 2nd Respondent, the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed seeking to enhance the claim amount to Rs.13,00,000/- from Rs.7,00,000/-.

2. Considering the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and the fact that there is a settlement between the claimant and the 2nd respondent Insurance Company, the petition is ordered. The claimant is permitted to amend the claim petition and enhance the claim to Rs.13,00,000/- from Rs.7,00,000/-. The petitioner to pay the Court fee payable because of the enhancement.
