ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH.J.,] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the body and person of petitioner's husband viz., A.Gopinath, male, aged 26 years, before this court and set him at liberty.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she got married to the detenu - A.Gopinath 4 years ago and he went missing on 23.11.2022. On a complaint given by the petitioner, a case was registered in Sriperumbudur P.S. Cr.No.781 of 222 for "Man Missing". However, police did not take effective steps to secure the detenu. Hence, this petition.
3. Today, Mr.A.Manoharan, Sub-Inspector of Police, C-1, Sriperumbudur Police Station, was present. The police produced the detenu before us.
4. When we enquired the detenu - A.Gopinath, he stated that on account of the torture of the petitioner, he had ran away. However,
Muthazhagi stated that she will not subject him to any further torture. Since the detenu - A.Gopinath is not a minor, he is set at liberty to chalk out his own life.
In the result, recording the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
