Review petition under order XLVII rule 1 of CPC pleased to review order dated 27.12.2018 made in WP.No.34065/2018 by allowing this review application (in REV.APLW.No.89/2019); Order : This petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.R.SARAVANAKUMAR, Advocate for the petitioner the court made the following order:- (Order of the Court made by Justice P.T.ASHA) Today, a Status Report has been filed by the first Respondent which does not give any details except for stating that, there has been a virtual meet of the National Task Force chaired by the Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on 31.08.2021, where, several directions have been listed out. The Report does not however, give details on the pro-active steps that have been taken in this regard after the meeting. No doubt, the time is very short.
2. Mr.R.Saravanakumar, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that, the Government, after closing down the Industries manufacturing plastic bags within the State, are procuring the same from outside the State, for utilizing it for pre-packaging of food articles, machineries etc. He is directed to file an Affidavit to that effect, so that, the Government Advocate can get necessary instructions in this regard.
3. The learned counsel for the Petitioner is directed to give an advance copy to the Government Advocate, so that the Government Advocate will be able to make his representation before this Court, when the matter is next listed on 04.10.2021.
