PRAYER:
Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 28.03.2017 and 18.09.2017. ORDER
Mr.V.Shanmuga Sundar, the learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1, 2 and 3 and Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, the learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the 4th respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The case of the petitioner is that she passed B.Com in the academic year 1996-1999 in Queen Marys College, Chennai and later she completed M.B.A. in the year 2001 in Annamalai University. The petitioner was married to one Sekar on 16.02.2011 and out of the lawful wedlock, a child was born to them on 08.06.2012.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that she is physically challenged and having disability of 65%, due to that reason, she was unable to get employment.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave representations to the respondents on 28.03.2017 and 18.09.2017 for issuance of licence to run a bunk shop in the place earmarked by the petitioner in her application. Since it was not considered favourably, the present writ petition.
5. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submitted that the representations of the petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.
6. In the light of the above facts and the submission of the learned counsels on either side, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 3rd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 28.03.2017 and 18.09.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
