Respondents Prayer : Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records leading to the detention of her brother Prasanth @ Appu, S/o. Veeramuthu, male, aged about 22 years is, who is presently lodged in Central Prison Puzhal at Chennai and has been detailed under Act 14/82 as a 'Goonda" vide detention order, dated 03.12.2016 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein, made in Memo No. 1203/BCDFGISSSV/2016, and to quash the same, and to consequently, to direct the respondents to produce the body and person of the said detenu before the Court, and thereafter, to set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai.

Advisory Board, the State Government has passed appropriate orders, vide G.O.Rt.No.284 of Home Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 20.01.2017, revoking the detention order. Hence, no orders are needed to be passed in this case. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. The copy of the aforesaid Government Order, dated 20.01.2017 is retained on file.
