This application is filed to extend the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator by a period of six months for completion of arbitration proceedings in Arbitration Case DFS No.26 of 2018.

2. Mr.D.Pradeep Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the applicant would submit that both the parties have argued the matter before the learned Arbitrator and the matter has been reserved for pronouncement of the award, however, since six months' time granted by this Court, by order, dated 22.07.2019, in A.No.3900 of 2019 got expired, the present application is filed seeking aforesaid relief.

3. This Court issued notice to the respondents, but, since the same returned with an endorsement ''Left Address'', learned counsel appearing for the applicant was directed to serve notice on the learned counsels, who https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

sd appeared for the respondents before the learned Arbitrator. Today, though the names of the learned counsel for the respondents were printed in the causelist, none appeared before this Court when the application is called. However, this Court, taking into consideration of the fact that the matter has been argued by both the parties before the learned Arbitrator and the matter has been reserved for pronouncing award, is of the view that it would just and necessary to extend the Mandate of the learned Arbitrator by another period of four months.

4. Accordingly, the Mandate of the Arbitrator is extended for a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order by the learned Arbitrator and this application is ordered.
