O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.) This matter has been listed in the special list today, on being mentioned by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

2. This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the mother of the detenue, namely, R.Vedhavalli, aged about 17 years, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the first respondent police to produce her daughter, said to be in the illegal custody of the second respondent, produce her before this Court, and to set her at liberty.

3. At this stage of the hearing of the habeas corpus petition, the first respondent police had produced the detenue before this Court. On enquiry, the detenue had stated that she had married the second respondent, on 19.03.2015. She has also given birth to a child. She had further stated that she would like to live her own life, taking care of the child.

4. In such circumstances, as the detenue is a major, at this point of time, we find it appropriate to set her at liberty and to carry on her life, as per her wish. Accordingly, the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
