ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking to quash the order in Na.Ka.No.4866/2020/Aa4 dated 17.07.2020 passed by the second respondent.
2. The petitioner is an hereditary trustee of the Arulmighu Mariyamman and Karupparayan Temples. There was a dispute for managing the bank account of the temple between the petitioner and the Management, for which, the account was freezed by the respondents. To de-freeze the account, the petitioner made a representation to the second respondent and the same was rejected and passed the impugned order. Challenging the same the present writ petition has been filed.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court, without going into the merits of the
case, may direct the second respondent to conduct election for board of trustees within the reasonable time as fixed by this Court.
4. In this regard, the learned counsel for the respondents has not raised any objection.
5. Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
6. In view of the limited request sought for by the petitioners, this Court without interfering with the impugned order, directs the second respondent to conduct election for the selection of the Board of Trustees for the Arulmighu Mariyamman and Karupparayan Temples within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
