O R D E R
Mr.S.Soundararajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first and second respondents. Since the writ petition is disposed of without affecting the interest of the respondents 3 to 8, notice to them is dispensed with.
2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 22.09.2016 filed against the order passed by the second respondent dated 24.08.2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said appeal is still pending before the first respondent without passing the orders on the same on merits.
3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the appeal filed by the petitioner as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide. Therefore, this Writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law after hearing the petitioners and the respondents 3 to 8, if the said appeal is not yet disposed of. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
