This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue suitable direction to the respondents herein to investigate and file the final report in D.C.B. Crime No.35 of 2019 dated 16.12.2019 on the file of the second respondent, ie., the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Vellore, Vellore District within a stipulated time.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that though the respondents has registered a case in the above said crime number on 16.12.2019, no final report is filed till date.

the respondent submitted that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances, the FIR has been registered on 16.12.2019 and also fact that 500 persons are the affected persons. The second respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report as early as possible.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
