PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondent authority to give police protection and permission to conduct Cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of Indira Gandhi Nagar, Basin Road, Near Concor Gate Salwat in Church new year prayer festival at Thiruvottiyur Taluk, Tiruvallur District on 05.01.2020 between 06.00 PM to 11.00 PM by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2019. ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent authority to give police protection and permission to conduct Cultural programme (Adal Padal Nigalchi) in the event of Indira Gandhi Nagar, Basin Road, Near Concor Gate Salwat in Church new year prayer festival at Thiruvottiyur Taluk, Tiruvallur District on 05.01.2020 between 06.00 PM to 11.00 PM by considering the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that there is a rival group with regard to conduct the prayer in the aforesaid Church and hence, he opposed this petition. 4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to enquire both the parties and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 31.12.2019 and inform to both the parties on or before 05.01.2020.

5.With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
